Dell's Digital Device Swaps & Image Work Collection

These images are part of a library created while working as an Art Director at Dell Blue, Dell Technologies' internal design agency. The goal was to provide the marketing team with quick access to images that have been retouched and have had all non-Dell devices replaced with Dell products, usually laptops. Below are animated gifs showing the before (original stock image with retouches) and after (with retouches and device swaps).
The process involved:
- identifying Dell product that best matches original image (model, screen size option, color variant)
- using internal 3D software to approximate the focal length in the original stock image
- manipulation of the product model in 3d space to match the orientation of the product in the image
- using Photoshop to remove the original product and replacing it with exported PSD from 3D software
- any retouches, color corrections, or additional edits
